Dennis Rehberg Doesn't Get It

A few short months ago, Rep. Dennis Rehberg said on a Montana radio show, "It’s all fabricated this war on women. I don’t get it."

But it was Rehberg who sponsored a budget last year that would have drastically cut coverage for women's health.

And now, he's at it again. Rehberg is out with new legislation that would take away basic preventive health care for women. This proposal has everything but the kitchen sink, including measures that would:

Defund Planned Parenthood
Eliminate funding for Title X, the nation's family planning program, impacting five million women
Allow your boss to determine whether you have access to no-cost birth control.

Planned Parenthood [Advocates of Montana] says Rehberg cannot be trusted to support women's health

"U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg’s plan to cut federal money for family planning and Planned Parenthood has come under a blistering attack from the leadership of Planned Parenthood [Advocates] of Montana.

'There’s no longer room for debate,' said Stacy James, CEO of Planned Parenthood [Advocates of] Montana. 'Dennis Rehberg simply can’t be trusted to support the health of Montana women. For the second time in less than a year, Rehberg has turned his back on women.'

She said Rehberg is a 12-year Washington politician who makes 'consistent, misguided, and intrusive attacks on women and families.'"
