Allen West: He's "Just Getting Started"

In his first campaign ad of the season, Congressman Allen West closed with, “Some say I push too hard, that I ask too much. My response: I'm just getting started.” Just getting started? If he’s just getting started we don’t want to know what’s next on his agenda.
Since he was elected in 2010, the freshman Florida congressman has pushed for a number of measures that would trample women’s rights. In his first month in office, West teamed up with fellow opponents of women’s health, including Rep. Mike Pence, in an attempt to bar funds to Planned Parenthood health centers and deny millions of women access to lifesaving and preventive services.
And when it comes to Obamacare, West has co-sponsored eight different bills that would either repeal the health care law in part or in full or defund the implementation of it.
West isn’t shy about where he stands — he once argued that Planned Parenthood women are “neutering American men”:
"We need you to come in and lock shields and strengthen up the men that will go into the fight for you. To let these other women know, on the other side, these Planned Parenthood women, the Code Pink women, and all of these women who have been neutering American men and bringing us to the point of this incredible weakness, to let them know that we are not going to have our men become subservient.”
If that wasn’t enough to give you chills, at a recent town hall in Florida, West joked about his vote on the “Let Women Die Act” — a bill that would allow hospitals to turn away a woman seeking an abortion, even if it is necessary to save her life.
West is simply dangerous to women’s health — and apparently he’s just getting started. If you don’t want to see what’s next on his agenda (and we sure don’t), sign and share the pledge and tell him you’re watching!
