Newt Gingrich vows to be faithful to wife... and also take away your health care

The news is a-buzzing around Newt Gingrich’s decision to sign a “pledge” by the Iowa group Family Leader, vowing to not commit adultery … again. His current wife’s a lucky lady.
Oh, did I also mention the pledge includes a vow to take away domestic (and international) access to women’s health care? Here’s the snippet of the pledge saying so:
On day one of my administration, I will sign an executive order reinstating Ronald Reagan’s Mexico City policy that prevents taxpayer dollars from being used to fund abortions overseas. I will also work with Congress to repeal Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood so that no taxpayer dollars are being used to fund abortions but rather transfer the money so it is used to promote adoption and other pro-family policies, and enact legislation that provides greater protections for the unborn.
There you have it, folks. Planned Parenthood Action Fund should actually thank Family Leader for getting yet another statement by good old Newt on the record: if given the White House, he is promising you he will defund women’s health care. Because let’s not forget this is what Planned Parenthood health centers provide under Title X: breast cancer screenings, Pap tests, birth control, and all of the other vital services the centers provide to millions of Americans.
Which points out another important point: the pledge makes no sense. Let’s say it all together now: No. Taxpayer. Dollars. Fund. Abortion. What Title X does is fund necessary preventive health care (like the services listed above) that Planned Parenthood and many others provide. So Newt’s policies not only make zero sense, but also involve bargaining away you and your families’ health care in order to push a bunk ideological agenda – and get himself into office. We can’t let that happen.
It’s simple: This chump has pledged to take away your health care. Sign the Women are Watching pledge to counteract his — let Newt know that his anti-woman agenda has no place in the White House.
