Since taking the oath of office, President Obama has been a champion of women’s health, working to expand women’s access to affordable, quality care. He’s done more for women’s health than any president in history and has stood with Planned Parenthood time and again when it mattered most. Simply put, he's got our back.
President Obama knows that protecting women's access to basic health care is essential. He's demonstrated that he understands the specific economic challenges women face and has worked with us hand-in-hand to help women meet those challenges.
He expanded access to care by signing the new health care law — ensuring more than twenty million women have received preventive care without co-pays, and with one stroke of his pen, he issued an executive order to overturn the global gag rule, so once again millions of women around the world can have access to critical reproductive health care services.
The stakes for women have never been higher than they are in this election and the contrast between President Obama and Mitt Romney couldn’t be starker. That’s why Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to be standing with the president, and endorsing his bid for re-election. And that’s why we will be spending as much time as possible between now and Election Day making sure that every voter in every corner of America knows just what is at stake on November 6.
